Tex & Wil have been plagued by their possessed smart speaker blurting out random nonsense for several years, entirely unprovoked, and captured on a sleep recorder app in the dead of night. What started as some obscure soundbites has since evolved into a full story, plucked entirely out of an artificially intelligent mind, with the most ridiculous characters and scenarios regaled back to us.
Join them and their friend, amateur sleuth Joseph Begley, as they listen back to the peculiar proclamations, trying to unpick the Smart Speaker's impression of our reality and unravel the mysteries of 'The Mattress Universe'. Meet our ghosts...
We're listening back to our Google Nest, our Smart Speaker, we call him "The Goggle". Since we first got him about four years ago, he's been randomly saying obscure, non-sensical things in the middle of the night, and we've been able to capture these with our sleep recorder app. You'll hear all his ramblings on the podcast, and it does get a bit weird. None of the things our friend says are prompted by us by the way, and it's long passed the point of us wanting to know why and how this is happening - we just find it fun and think you will too.
